Stephan Erdman

The Actor Stephan Erdman is one of the leading bilingual German actors based in the UK.

German born Stephan Erdman trained at the Drama Centre London and then started his acting career as the brooding murderous lead in “Something Secondary”, an award winning short film by Japanese director Tetsuya Tomina.

He went on to play German Lieutenant Klaus Hofmann in the Oscar shortlisted war drama “The Dance of Shiva” by Jamie Payne, working alongside and with Kenneth Branagh, Sanjeev Bhaskar and the late Cinematography legend Jack Cardiff.

Shooting numerous lead roles in independent films provided a perfect platform to further develop his presence in front of camera before playing one of the leading German roles in BBC1’s “D-Day” directed by Richard Dale and several other BBC1 and BBC2 Docudramas.

Having started out playing several edgier dramatic roles he showed his talent for comedy as a bored sonar operator in the award winning UK Film Council produced “In the Mood” opposite Adrian Peck and Kelly Brook and then played violinist Lukas in Peter Howitt’s feature film “Dangerous Parking”.

His most recent feature film war time family drama “Brothers of War” is now available on DVD!

Voice Over Artist

Stephan  works regularly as a Voice over artist in commercials, drama, video games and corporate videos for the BBC, MTV, Opel, Belkin, Hodder, VW and many others both in German and in English.

Recently he was in the studio recording the title role of Corduroy the Teddy Bear for the children’s animated series “Corduroy” for German TV…then did the new German Version of “The Wiggles” for German TV.

In terms of video games he has voiced numerous roles, including the narrator for the German Moto GP Racing game, and worked on several games earlier this year…
He can easily move from a very cool hard hitting sound on the new Tomb Raider Underground Commercials to the naive and friendly voice of “Corduroy” the Teddy Bear in the children’s TV Series.

So if you want someone who can truly bring to life characterisations in different genres from Drama to Corporate narration, from Children’s Animated series to Language programmes, from nature narration to computer games and hard hitting commercials email him at stephanerdman@gmail.com!
